On December 15, 2009, the two universities signed the "Implementation Agreement for the Establishment of Confucius Institutes", which officially kicked off the co-foundation of the Confucius Institute. The University of Belgrade is the most famous university in Serbia and even in Eastern Europe. It has been established for more than 200 years. There are 33 colleges under the University of Beida. It is a comprehensive university covering philosophy, law, linguistics, medicine, mechanics and electrical.
